I have an iPhone and it won’t let send messages to one phone as a text unless I turn iMessage all the way off. I have several numbers in my phone that are not iPhone user and it’ll send no problem as a text message. Why this number?

No never owed an iPhone they have their phone through straight talk and maybe the number could have been associated with an iPhone but was a new number on a different phone that the company gave straight talk
And what kind of device is that person using?

IF they only had that device there wouldn't be an issue, does he/she own an Apple device, which would cause the issue.
