1) Once you're 2FA authorized, how do you get your iMac listed as a recognized trusted device?
2) Seems like I need to get authorized for iCloud, but haven't found how to do that either?

You need to sign into System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina). After the initial sign in, you should get a verification code sent to one on your trusted devices. Enter that code on the Mac. If you are running El Capitan or newer, there should be a code entry box on the Mac.

Thanks. I think I got my iMac registered as a trusted device, but what about question # 2 on registering on iCloud?
You are welcome. If the Mac is now trusted, you should be able to sign into System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina). Have you tried doing that?
