Mac OS Internet recovery


Good morning sir


My Apple MacBook Air A 1466 is not booting just showing the horizontal progress bar with apple logo , since my macbook’s wifi is not working . Is it possible to get Internet recovery through thunderbolt - Ethernet cable . As the genuine apple thunderbolt - Ethernet cable is expensive and would it worth if buy for my reason as a solution . Kindly extend your worth reply.

That adapter will definitely work. However, before you buy it, you might want to run Apple Diagnostics: How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac - Apple Support. Whatever is causing that problem might be affecting other things also.


If that Mac's Thunderbolt port is working properly, that adapter will certainly work with Internet Recovery.
