When I receive a call on my iPhone I also get it on my IPad, the same goes for text. Is there a way to dis associate these two devices without completely removing one.

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Turn off Calls on Other Devices. Then on your iPhone go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwading > Turn off your iPad.
