AirPods Pro microphone crackling on MacBook Pro

Hey guys.

My AirPods Pro's microphones are crackling to the point that no one can understand me.

This issue happens only when im connected to my MacBook and using microphones for online calls.

To confirm that this problem is not program or website specific i made a couple of recordings via QuickTime audio recordings - i sounded like a stuttering robot talking from another galaxy.

Strangely the problem does not exist on my iPhone though. I can connect to my AirPods just fine and make a recording via Voice Memos with a very good result.

Please help.
