Wha tis the SUB-MODEL of your MacBook Pro, available by doing "About this MAc..." from your Apple menu:

The sub-model is the part with a year included. Please indicate if yours shows Early, Mid or Late along with the year.

Please use up to date Mac OS for updating your I phone otherwise use the software update option from the phone itself. Go to settings - General - Software update.

When you use older Mac OS devise to update the software update may end up in corrupted software and you will reach to recovery mode and I runes won't connect to IOS server. Don't take unnecessary risks with your daily using devices.
