iPad ‘other’ storage

How do I get rid of ‘other’ storage on my iPad? I understand there will always be some, but mine has grown to over 20 GB

first try doing a hard reset

if that does not work, you may have to backup your iPad, reset to factory settings, then restore from that backup

When other is that large it usually means you have some corrupt data on your iPad. The way to remove it which works, is to back up your iPad, then restore it from backup. Trust me. This works. This link explains how --> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Please note that there are two methods listed. One if iCloud, the other is using your home computer with iTunes. While both work, the home computer method is the best as it puts a whole new version of iOS on your device in the process.
