I have an LG OLED tv from 2018 and I can’t locate the Apple TV app on the tv or the App Store is it available for this tv

Apple lists the LG OLED (2019) as an Apple TV app-supported device, not the 2018 model.

It seems you would need an external streaming device to get Apple TV app content on your model TV.
