Free trial not working

When buying my new iPhone 11 I got a years free Apple TV trial. Just registered for it today and whenever I click to watch anything it is asking me to pay for it. What have I done wrong?

Are you clicking on content inside the Apple TV+ app? Only Apple produced shows are included in the trial.

Yes on the iPhone app. How do I know which is an apple produced show?
