I received a notification saying you been hacked download this app in 2 mins or you will be hacked! Is this fake or not?

If a notification told you to download it then that is the last thing you should do. You should never use VPN on any phone or computer except to connect to a company internal network.

PS: this was the on safari
it's phishing to try and get you to download something.. and that something is probably some sort of malware.

The app it tried to make me download was a 4.2 rated VPN? Is it still the same?
