Hi, I am trying to reinstall the OS X Mavericks, however it stays on select disk where you want to install OS X but is not giving me any options

Either the file system/partition on the drive is damaged/corrupt so it is not recognized, or your hard drive has failed.


Launch Disk Utility and see if you can see the physical drive or any volumes. You can try using First Aid to repair the drive/volume. Or you can erase the physical drive as GUID partition and MacOS Extended (Journaled). If you erase the drive/volume, then all data on the drive will be destroyed.
