tried everything to have quicktime screen record at 1080p

Hi, I have changed my display preference and now also bought Camtasia to screen record in 1080p so I can export my imovie in 1080p, but the option to export file to 1080p is grayed out still. What else is can i do?

The resolution of a project is set by the first clip put in the timeline.

There is a trick to force an iMovie project into 1080p, by having its first imported asset be 1080p. So create such a short file, specifically for this purpose.
