Adapter extension cord

I still have my old adapter extension cord in good condition from my 2009 Macbook and I just got a 2019 16 in. Macbook Pro. I want to know if the old extension cord is safe to use with the new style of adapter for the Macbook Pro or if I have to buy a new one. I don't know what the wattage for either extension cord is.

Yes. You can use it with no issue—it is just an extension cord.


I always recommend using the 3 prong extension.


The country version is specific otherwise they are interchangable:
