Catalina OS

Anyone else having problems with Catalina? Since I upgraded my macbook crashes at least once every single day - and usually at the most inconvenient of times (in the middle of a Zoom session). This morning it has crashed twice already before 9.30am. What's the solution? Is there an alternative OS?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Does a crash report appear? If you would like someone to help you interpret it, you can copy the report and paste it in a reply to this Discussion.

Please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac.

From menu : About This Mac, what version of macOS Catalina are you now running? Do you have the last version of Zoom available for macOS on their website? Did you install anything else before these crashes appeared, and that required you to enter your administrator password as part of the installation process?

Just be advised the "Zoom" app might not work in "Safe Mode". If your Mac crashes in Safe Mode though it would indicate a possible hardware problem.

Since it happens so frequently copy and paste the crash report in a reply when you can. Then, send it to Apple as you have been doing. They're useful to Apple, or other developers in the event non-Apple products cause them to occur.
