I have tried numerous times to keep the top menu bar visible always - system prefs then general then untick the box - doesn't work. Any help - Thanks

OK Thanks for helping - shame as I find it really irritating. Another case of being controlled by computer rather than me controlling it I think. Soon to return to PC where stuff is so fast! Thanks for your help
FWIW, the Menu Bar hides when an app is in Full Screen.
Thanks - I would like it to be permanently there in full screen and apple says it can - but it doesn't. Like a PC does.

When ever you ask the question on google all the responses say untick the box - makes no difference ticked or not.
The "Automatically hide and show the menu bar" parameter does not apply to Full Screen.
