Apple needs a "force iCloud Drive Sync" feature

I regularly bounce between working on my iMac Pro and MacBook Pro and I need files to be in sync on iCloud Drive - all too often I have to wait as much as an hour or more for everything to sync up. Apple needs to add a menu item when we control click a file to 'force sync'. I don't need iCloud to review 70,000 files that haven't changed since yesterday.
