Turn off two factor Authentication

How do I turn off two factor authentication? It was mistakenly turned on now the option to turn it off isn’t available?????

You have only 14 days to turn it off once activated. If that period has passed, you cannot disable it for that AppleID. If it got turned on by you, that means you enabled some feature from Apple that requires it - Apple Pay, messages in iCloud, iCloud Keychain, Home Kit, etc. All those services require 2FA.
