Unable to turn off Find My Mac

So, my Mac is kind of glitching and is stuck on the spinning globe start up screen. I was reading what’s needed and what may be asked when I arrive to Apple to get it looked at and it explains that I may need to turn off Find My Mac. What if I am not able to do so? I tried to turn it off, but it needs my Mac to connect to WiFi and unfortunately, it’s not doing so. Will I still be able to get the help that I need?

Yes. The inability to turn off Find My Mac will not prevent Apple's ability to fix your Mac.

The only reason Apple wants you to to do that is to prevent any confusion in the event they need to replace your Mac's logic board: if you needed to use FMM in the future you would see two of them, one of which will be the removed logic board. It will be scrapped anyway so its location will henceforth be "unknown".

If and when that becomes a concern you can remove it if you want to. There is no need to concern yourself now.
