iMessage shows a black screen so I cant send or see any texts but everything else on my phone works.

I’m scared to restart it because I did before and it wouldn’t turn on for at least 10 mins but after i restarted it that’s when everything started to break. I tried opening other apps and I cant use anything like spotify or other music apps
You don't lose any data when you do a restart.
