Is it possible to retrieve deleted iMessages

I simply was curious if you can retrieve deleted iMessages since I keep everything forever in the cloud. Thanks for your help..

If you were syncing Messages with iCloud and deleted them, they can't be recovered. If you weren't syncing Messages with iCloud when the messages you are trying to recover were deleted, do you have a backup you can restore from? Restoring from a backup erases all data currently on your device. Any data newer than when the backup was made will be erased. A restore is an all or nothing restore. You can't access a backup and only restore certain files.

See How to retrieve deleted text messages on iPhone

Also, note, as mentioned above, that deleted messages are saved in iPhone backups. To recover them from a particular backup, use Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Hi.

You can restore your phone from an iCloud or ITunes backup however this will roll back your entire phone to a previous backup. This means anything that is new on your device will be lost.

Another option would be to search and use a 3rd party app that can search your backups and you can select what you wish to restore, however this comes at a price and is also not something I would recommend.

Hope this helps.
