Hi is it possible to back up new phone iphone 6 from icloud as it says software is out of date so wont do it. It is possible to transfer all data from old phone? (which is iphone 6s ) it is driving me nuts

No. If your old phone was an iPhone 6s, it was running a newer version of iOS than the iPhone 6 is capable of running.
