we havetwo iPhone 7 plus devices that use the same apple id One has iCloud photos turned on the other doesn

We have 2 iPhone 7 Plus phones that use the same Apple ID. One has iCloud photos switched on the other doesn’t. If we switch it on for this phone will all the photos be intermingled or is there a way of keeping them separate for each device in iCloud photos? Thanks C

They will all merge. When using one AppleID, you cannot separate the data associated with that AppleID by device. One AppleID means one single account for iCloud, FaceTime, iMessage, etc and anyone or any device using that AppleID has equal access to all the data in those accounts.
