Unsolicited call from "Apple, Inc."

I went along for a whle with this phone call, as far as downloading software that would allow them access to my computer. At that point I stopped and "googled" f it were a scam and found it was. I terminated the call without installing the app. Should that be sufficient? Or is there a way to find out if they "hacked" me?

Thanks
