ask them to return it. Tell them you are going to report it to the police.

You cannot be refunded by Apple if you are scammed. There is no buyer protection for Apple Cash. You must report it to the police and report it here - Get Support. If you are scammed on social media (Facebook/Instagram, etc..) you need to report it to them also.
