after purchasing my new macbook pro, I got an email which includes Apple TV+ free for 1 year. Whenever I click start 1 year free, it opens another window where I only have the option for starting a week free trial. Pls help

I have tried many, many times to activate my one year of AppleTV free when I purchased my MacBook Air and I activate it. I have gone to apple support, and to AppleTV+ etc. Please help me.
