How to download Keynote for High Sierra OS

I have an old MacBook Pro and require Keynote to complete a project. How do I download an older version of the program?

If you have never installed Keynote previously from the Mac App Store, then there will be no means to obtain Keynote for High Sierra, as Apple does not provide full installer, user downloads for non-current software. The current Keynote v10.1 of this post date requires that you already have Mojave 10.14.n or Catalina 10.15.n installed.

Had you previously installed Keynote later than Keynote 'YY via the Mac App Store, and were using the same Apple ID in High Sierra, then you might be able to get Keynote v9.1 by pressing the option key while selecting the Purchases tab in the Mac App Store. If Keynote appears there with an active Install/Update button, then clicking that will inform you that you cannot install Keynote v10.1, and it may offer you a consolation prize, and install Keynote v9.1 instead.

If not the first or second paragraphs, then you will need an upgrade to a newer version of macOS to get Keynote.
