I just purchased a secondhand 21" iMac, and I'd like to use it to mirror the display of my 13" MacBook Air. Is it possible to do this wirelessly, and if so, how would I do it? And either way, what will I need to do to mirror my MBA's screen on the iMac?

There is no built in support to mirror one Mac wirelessly to another.
You can use a 3rd party solution such as Luna Display: https://shop.astropad.com/pages/meet-mac-to-mac-mode
Alternatively if the iMac is a supported model, and your MacBook air is not running Catalina, you can use Target Display mode directly over USB: Use your iMac as a display with target display mode - Apple Support

Thanks for your answer, Phil. I actually found that Screen Sharing works perfectly just for this.
Amazing how this still isn't supported natively–sure, you can mirror every other Apple device (and others) on and to a Mac, but not another Mac. Just crazy.
