When I misplace my iPad, I'd like to use my iPhone to locate missing iPad. How to do that?
and, vice cersa- missing phone, cN iPad help me find it?
tried to use "Find My" for this task, but it does t work.,..

Do you have Find My turned on in Settings on both devices? See: Set up Find My on your iPhone, Mac, AirPods, or other devices - Apple Support
If so and if both are signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID, it should work as described in: Use the Find My app to locate a lost or stolen device - Apple Support
If the above isn't working, what do you see in the Find My app when you try to do it?
Other methods include using an internet browser and logging into www.icloud.com/find
