I cannot install Catalina on my iMac because it's a mid-2011 model, but can I do any update at all? It's currently running Sierra 10.12.6 and several times I've gotten an error message saying I need version 10.13 or higher in order to run certain apps etc.

Thanks!

iMac 27″, macOS 10.12

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download High Sierra.
