Eliminate country code in the currency sign

Hello,

I am seeing country specific code in the USD currency (US$). I need it to look like a "$" sign, straight.

How can that be achieved?

Best,

It is United States, and in Advanced… General : Currency is set to US Dollar. Preferred Language is U.S. English.

With Pages v10.1 on Catalina 10.15.6 (19G2021), and with the identical settings used on Mojave, I get the same result as I posted previously with the $ left aligned.
