My Mac Pro has recently (last 6 months to a year) frozen up, where I can still move the cursor.
This lasts for about 10-30 seconds, and then everything I've clicked on/moved fast forwards to catch up, and then the computer is like normal again.
I suspect this is due to a Mojave update, but I have zero desire to update to Vista (Catalina) or iOS (Big Sur).
Is this Apple forcing obsolesence upon us?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...
