Apple Trade In - Apple. When you are purchasing a new Mac there will be a trade-in option link. You will need to provide the serial number of your old computer and answer some questions. A trade-in value will then be shown. Also, see What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac.
A general rule-of-thumb is to expect about one-half of the value, if you sold it yourself.
