can i share an Apple Mail profile between two computers?

i have two Macs, an iMac and a MacBook Pro, and i need to share the same email between them. i can't do it in Thunderbird.


  1. is this possible in Apple Mail?
  2. will i be able to transfer all my virtual folders?

Ah, yes, Apple Mail has what they call Smart Folders...

i'm not sure what they're called in Apple Mail. i'm currently using Thunderbird, and that has what it calls Saved Searches. i can select what shows up in them according to various criteria. that's not where they actually live, it's just useful to see them all in one place. so i have all my emails from ebay and other sites i but stuff from regularly in a virtual folder called Shopping. but the actual emails are in a real folder called Downloads.


but i'm getting nowhere with Thunderbird, so i'm wondering if Apple Mail will do what i want.
