What MacBook does NOT use Touch ID?

My fingerprints are very hard to read. Does MacBook have alternative if methods?

So far I've only found an idea on how to erase finger print registration, & presumes

one actually wants to fix an issue in there. They do make a few points, no answers.

similar article has same action once you've re-set the Touch ID settings; no answer

except perhaps once this is reset, another path forward may exists as workaround?

Things like this keep me using older Mac portables and desktop models!

In some situations, you need to enter your password instead of using Touch ID:

  • If you've just restarted your Mac
  • If you've logged out of your user account
  • If your fingerprint isn't recognized five times in a row
  • If you haven't unlocked your Mac in more than 48 hours
  • If you've just enrolled or deleted fingerprints

Frustration and newer ideas that make different new problems.

Take care & good luck!😜🌞
