Yes you can.


When you first set up the new device, during setup you are offered to use Setup Assistant which is basically the same process and is only offered once. The difference between it and Migration Assistant: SA creates your account and copies everything; using MA will most likely result in two user accounts - you set up one during the setup and MA later copies your old one as a second one. Moral of the story: use SA, it is much easier to deal with.
