Why do the Numbers spreadsheets now float around in the window?

I don't use numbers often, but now the spreadsheet floats around in some window and I can't get it fixed in place. Why does it do this and what is the advantage? Most importantly, how do I get it to stop? I haven't been able to effect a solution using other answers to this forum. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer. Stay well, everybody!

Do you mean that you can drag a table in Numbers? Unlike excel or google spreadsheets where everything is just one spreadsheet, in numbers you can have multiple spreadsheet-tables to work in and drag them to a spot you like. You can lock tables too if you need.
