two-factor authentication

I created new Apple ID and the two-factor authentication comes enabled by default and not able to disable it. is this normal procedure? I tried contacting apple support but they refuse to change it . what shall I do?

The new iOS/iPadOS needs the security.

All you have to do is make sure you have more than 1 trusted phone number.

Add another trusted phone number from family/spouse/friend or use landline number.
