After installing ios14 on my iPhone11 it keeps on crashing out of wifi and even takes the wifi name out of the selection menu. Have to reboot router to see wifi selection.

I use an apple time capsule for my internet wifi as well as backups, after installing ios14 on my iphone11 it connects to my wifi network then suddenly crashes out. When it crashes out it takes the wifi section option out of the menu, the only way to see the option again is to unplug and plug back in again my time capsule, but as soon as you select and use the wifi on my phone it crashes out again.

iPhone 11, iOS 14

At last sorted it was an Apple based problem all the time, just installed iOS 14.0.1 and the problem dissapeared, everything back to normal. Wish it was recognised earlier instead of being pushed between Apple and Virgin (IP supplier) what a nightmare.

Hey there geoff.fromplymouth,

We understand you're experiencing an issue with the Wi-Fi settings disappearing on your iPhone after connecting to a Time Capsule, and we'd like to see if we can assist.

Do you experience the same issue when connecting to a different Wi-Fi network, or different network equipment?

Do other devices experience the same behavior?

Also, restart your iPhone, and test for the issue again.

Thanks!

Hi thanks for your reply, I am at a loss with my problem Apple are telling me it’s not the phone it’s my iPhone supplier (Virgin) and guess what Virgin say it’s my Apple equipment. The phone will connect to other networks without a problem but using two routers at home is causing a double Nat on my time capsule which I use as a WiFi and backup for my iMac.

I have factory reset my phone and had Apple support on the phone for over two hours updated software on the phone, the time capsule is showing no faults through disc utility and is updated to the latest firmware.

I have reset networks updated everything but still this annoying problem persists, I would appreciate and try any help offered.

Hi Amanda thanks for your reply, I have read through the link you supplied and tried everything advised but no luck. I spent two hours on the phone with Apple support then another hour+ on the phone to Virgin, in the end they both say it’s the others equipment. Wish I could get independent advice to give an honest and straight answer.
