My iMovie is not responding.

It's written Loading... Reading iMovie library... What to do? I've reinstalled the programm, but it's not working.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Hi, simonpurger,


Try deleting preferences. Open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete

preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects.


It might also be that there is corruption in your iMovie library. Try opening iMovie while holding down just the Option key and select to open in another library, or a newly created library. Now see if iMovie will load.
