software update

hi i have an iphone 5s and i want to update my software but there is no update notification for me what can i do ?

If your iPhone is at iOS 12.4.8, it can not be updated further. If this is not the case, post back with relevant information.

and why is it ? igave an iphone 6plus and it has the same version and it doesn’t have any further updates

The iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 & 6 Plus do not have the required hardware (RAM and CPU) to update further. iOS 13 and iOS 14 require an iPhone 6S or newer.
