IMovie Error: RenderFrameAt returned: 4 for absolute frame: 12065

... What does this mean and how can I fix it?


I have the catalina.

Hi,


Not entirely sure but I believe that the error means that there is some conflict somewhere, either in a specific frame in the project or somewhere on the computer. Take a look at this thread and some of the suggestions there:

The poster in the above thread solved it by simply rebooting the Mac.

Here's a fix for this issue that worked for me:


The error is essentially saying there's something wrong with frame 12,065 of your project; it's most likely a dropped (black) frame. Go to that specific frame in your project and just edit it out. Use a frame-to-time converter to know which specific time it is if you're using a time code instead of frames.
