Photos info panel loses focus

For nearly a year now, when trying to set keywords or location for photos (one or multiple) I click in the field and within a second or two, focus is taken away. For keywords, the CMD-K shortcut is a workable work-around, is there a similar work-around for setting locations?

(or even better, is this bug ever going to get fixed?)

It's not an issue for me, on the same version, so I suspect it is more likely to be some other app or process stealing focus.

Can you:

1 - Make sure all other apps are closed - try also to close as many menu bar processes as possible.

2 - If it still does it after 1, try restarting the MacBook in safe-mode and try again.
