Trade-in from other Country

Good afternoon! I bought an iPhone Xr in Belarus. Can I use the trade in system if I send my phone in the US to my friend to exchange it? Or are other options possible? Thanks.

I've done a trade-in before and they pretty much just verified that Find My iPhone was off and that it turned on and wasn't damaged. That being said, I don't think there would be a problem. The worst they can do is say no.
