Library file

I am making the assumption from a bit of playing around last night that Music and TV apps do not use the old iTunes library files. What they actually do is use the new ones created in the Music and Movies folders ?

I noticed my old iTunes itl had not been updated for about a week when I was installing iTunes on Catalina and the library itself inside iTunes was slightly outdated from what the current ones were showing in the new apps.

Also, the new apps seem to keep a copy of the embedded artwork away in the user/Library folder subfolder which is a bit weird.

Actually, this is a clear explanation of the madness of splitting library files to various locations.
