How do I delete photos/videos from my iPhone but not delete them from iCloud? I want to use iCloud to store them until I upgrade my computer. Is that possible? or even recommended? Thanks in advance!

You cannot as that's not how iCloud works or was designed as it's characterized as a syncing system. It's not a traditional cloud-based system like some of the third-party options like Dropbox or Google Photos.

Thank you for your response. That makes more sense. Time to delete iCloud and go with something else for storage.
