After you complete the Force ReStarting method then make sure that Optimized Charging is still set to OFF.

After that, let the iPhone discharge to around 50% and then set it on the charger again. See if it reaches 100%. If that does not work then try another charger to see whether issue is related to only one or all chargers.

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Hi Farahangelica,

The only reason why your iPhone stops charging at 80% , besides the optimized charging, is if your battery is overheating. If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support
