None on the above works to dock keyboards to original bottom of screen location

Why can’t I dock the keyboard to the bottom of the screen?

Ive tried everything suggested but nothing works -

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

With the on-screen keyboard visible, touch-and-hold the “keyboard” key at bottom right; a menu will appear. Without lifting your finger from the screen, slide your finger to the Dock option - and then lift your finger. The on-screen keyboard will dock with the bottom of the screen.
