Apple TV 3.... where to enter verification code?

Attempting to watch a program on my Appletv+ Subscription. I receive a verification code on my iPhone 11. I’m staring at my Apple TV screen which is literally blank. There’s is no place to enter code. Help!

It sounds like you are referring to 2 factor authentification, if that is correct please do the following:


  • Apple TV asks for Apple ID password, enter it.
  • An authentication code will be sent to your iPhone or iPad or Mac.
  • Apple TV asks for the Apple ID password again, enter it followed by the authentication code. For example if your Apple ID password is XYZ123 and the authentication code is 4567 enter XYZ1234567
  • Do this quickly or it will time out!
