I bought 2 cases for my new iPad with three-fold cover with auto sleep/wake screen and does not work is there a setting for it or is it my iPad that’s defective or the cases are defective?

I have the same issue, iPad Air 4 doesn’t wake up or lock with a folio case. I bought a Vaku Luxos Folio case too. Tested it for iPad Pro - Works fine, but with iPad Air 4 it doesn’t work. I have even turned on the lock unlock feature.
The sleep/wake function is triggered by magnets built-in to the folio cover. The position of these magnets are critical - and vary by iPad model. Cases that support this function are designed for (and are compatible with) only a specific single model of iPad.
How do you know it doesn't work?
Well that’s why I’m asking because it doesn’t turn on/off the screen when I open/close the flap
Well how do you know? Cause when you open the flap it will unlock the iPad.
