Pairing of Apple Watch Series 6 with Iphone 6

I am not able to pair my new Apple Watch Series 6 with my existing Iphone 6.

Present software version on my phone is iOS 12.4.8.

iPhone says that it is up to date.

An apple watch 6 requires a phone with ios14.
